Rob Viktum & Friends | Aight, New Drink

So the homie Rob Viktum decided to get all big time on us. While doing a very good job of keeping this project under wraps, the true homies just knew that this move was bound to happen. Mr. Viktum linked up with Tanya Morgan's Don Will to create a masterpiece. Pay attention, not only are these artists trying to subliminally influence us to drink cheaper beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon, which is greater than Coors/Miller/Bud Lite), but they are blessing us with this late summer banger for FREE. Peace to the homie Rob Vik and congrats on such a great sounding project. If you aren't stupid, download this now. If you are stupid, download this now, you will become smarter.

Click HERE or on the album cover to get the EP.

You can also follow these folks on Twitter.

Michael Jackson | DJ Premier | Tribute Mix

So a week has passed since "The Man" left this earth in the physical form and it still just doesn't feel real. I keep saying to myself, Michael Jackson... Michael JACKSON. I'm sure you all, just like me have been bumpin MJ tracks like crazy. But only one man can put it down and bring out the funk like no other, and that man is DJ Premiere.

Man I'm so glad I found this! I caught the last 15 minutes of it on Sirius last Friday night and was pissed that I missed it. The reason I missed it was because I was too busy playing my own MJ tracks. This is Premo's live mix that he did live on Hip Hop Nation Ch. 50 on Sirius/XM Radio the night after MJ's passing. Thank you Mr. Premier for recording this session for all of us to enjoy for eternity. And also thanks to HeadKrack for posting this on his blog for me to discover and share with you all. Once again, rest in peace to one of the greatest, Michael Jackson. Click the cover to download the mix.

Thanks to Premo for this dope mix.

And thanks to HeadKrack for helping me discover the recording.

Sage Francis | Sick Of Wasting

Sage is back! It seems like forever since we have heard from Sage Francis, but he is finally back! Any fan of Sage will know about his "Sick Of" mixtape series, and this is the 5th installment. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Sage, but as his career progressed, he got a little weird for me, but maybe I was just getting a little weird myself. This mixtape is straight fire/hip hop and the reason I became a fan of this man... Straight hip-hop rhymes and beats. If you have never heard of him, check this out. But but but wait it gets better, he is offering the mixtape for free! Click the album cover to download. But before you do that read below and find out why he released this tape, how far some of the beats date back, and how you can get an autographed copy for yourself.

"I wasn't sure if I would ever release another mix of this sort after the last one, but it's been a couple years since my last official album and I've accumulated a large number of "left over" tracks that never found their way onto an official album. I also opened up the 4-track vault this year and was able to unearth some solid material that dates back to 1996.

My music career, as most people know it, essentially began with the "Sick of Waiting" mixtape in 1999. Now that I've typed that out I've realized that we're essentially celebrating the "Sick of" mixtape series' 10th birthday. Hot damn. It seems like just yesterday I was dubbing all the original tapes, cutting and pasting the album covers, writing out the album info on the stickers, and selling them hand-to-hand at shows. Time (f)lies." -Sage Francis

So the Underground King basically murders this track. I had to share, my only complaint is that he didn't add two more verses. This shit is fire! Enjoy!

Producer's Corner | Rob Viktum

After giving his new beat tape a good listen, it is obvious that this man is from another planet. He now resides in Dallas, Texas and is at the top of his game. The self proclaimed "Beat Fanatic" has been hard at work, proving that he is one of the nation's (and Texas') hardest working producers. With that said, he is blessing the world with a gift... A sneak peak of how his mind works. With all that said, Rob Viktum presents to you... "Snack Pack Volume One". Take my word for it, or shit, just listen... this tape is full of bangers! Producers take notice! It's time to step your game up. Rappers, movie producers, commercial makers, etc. you can contact Rob Vik at robviktum@gmail.com , or just hit him up on his Twitter.

Kid Cudi | She Came Along ft Kid Cudi

The song is a brand new release in Germany by the artist know as Sharam, and is off of his recent album "Get Wild". Cudi's talent really stands out on this joint, as he rides the beat with none other than country legend, Patsy Cline. Get it!

Asher Roth | Family Man

Apparently, this is the track that got Asher Roth signed to Schoolboy Records. Some might say that he really sounds like early Eminem here, but I just say the track is dope. Cop the leak, or just listen down below. And cop the album "Asleep In The Bread Isle", set to drop on 4/20.

Producer's Corner: Needlz

Needlz just dropped a free mixtape title "The Best of Needlz Vol. 1", and it's HOT!!! Has some tracks that you may be familiar with like Piggy Bank by 50 Cent, or Letter To BIG by Jadakiss. Also the mixtape reintroduces you to Archie Eversole (May remember him from the song title "We Ready", which I think was a dis at Pastor Troy). Get your download on!!!
