Man... Such a dope video with legendary photographer Glen E. Friendman. He was really into photographing hard core/punk rock bands until he met Russell Simmons. After that, he had what Rick Rubin claims to be "the greatest photo shoot he ever had". Watch the video you punk!

Eminem | 3:AM | Trailer

We rarely see trailers for music for music videos these days, but Eminem/Shady/Aftermath have dropped one for what looks to be a crazy ass video. Cinemax will exclusively debut the video for Em's 3:AM on Saturday, May 2nd at 10pm Eastern and Pacific times. If you miss it, or dont have Skinemax, we will put it up as soon as possible. If the video is half as good as the trailer, it's official... Slim Shady is back.

GTA | South Carolina

Wow! This cop literally tries to run over a man. I'm sorry, but unless the man has a bazooka aimed at the car, or has a clear cut case of the swine flu, police should not be allowed to do this shit. The "wtf" part of this whole story is... the officer will serve no time himself, only 100 hours of community service.

Droppin' Science | J Rocc | Mixtape

Yesterday, the homie Murs dropped The Science on y'all, so today we figured why not go ahead and drop some more science. A little over a year ago Blue Note Records dropped an album called Droppin' Science which features the greatest hip hop samples taken from the Blue Note back catalog. J.Rocc from the World Famous Beat Junkies took those tracks, and flipped them for a really dope mixtape. Being that the album dropped over a year ago, I'm not sure how new this mixtape is, but who cares, it's fire. You can cop the album Droppin' Science here.

Kanye West | Robocop | 1988 import version

Another unofficial video, this time from Mykola Dosenko. He created a video for Kanye West's Robo Cop. The video is inspired by Nintendo (NES) graphics and is all his original work.
And even though the video is the unofficial version, it is Official. Ya dig?

p.s. Make sure you also check out the video he did for DJ Shadow back in 2006 for This Time.

Iron Mike Tyson | 2 Interviews

James Toback's critically acclaimed documentary, TYSON, is finally hitting select theatres in L.A. and New York this weekend. So to commemorate the release, we bring you two very interesting and insightful interviews with the man himself, Iron Mike Tyson. First we have Tyson's interview with MTV Rough Cut, in which Mike talks about various subjects ranging from Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Chris Brown and Rihanna, For the Love of Ray J, and even his own documentary. Whether or not you have already seen the movie, this interview is a must watch.

Next we have Tyson and James Toback's 60 minute interview with Charlie Rose, not really much to explain here, as the interview speaks for itself. Grab some popcorn because this interview is almost as insightful as the movie itself. Oh yeah, how could I forget about Coach K?

Twitshirt | WTF?

"Ever wish you could wear a tweet? For $20, we can turn it into a comfy Twitshirt!" -Ummm... Is that even a word? Well now it is. But wait, there's more! "And each time we sell one with your tweet on it, we give you a cut."

So apparently, there's this website, that will print your Tweets and actually put them on a shirt. You can search user names/twitter URLs to find specific tweets, add your own tweets, or even pick from a list of "top" tweets to print on your shirt. Is this genius or absolutely absurd? With the recent explosion of Twitter, I guess we will all find out soon enough. See some TwitShirts in action here (I love the GoBots one).

Peep the TwitShirt blog here for more info or just go straight to twitshirt.com to create your masterpiece.

All I can do is laugh! Ahahahahahahah!!!! I just might buy one. -"Hold on Ma! I gotta go put on my TwitShirt!"

Erik Burke | Writers Bench

This video highlights a project taken on by Erik Burke, in which he memorializes the Subway Graffiti movement of the mid 70's by creating a memorial plaque to place on the historical “Writer’s Bench” in the NYC subway. Amazing work... Check it out.

Writers Bench from Miss Tint on Vimeo.

The plaque reads...

"You are presently siting on the most historic writers bench in all of New York City. The writer’s bench is an important symbol and historical marker for graffiti writers. Beyond being a physical bench it grew to be a verb in it's own right, describing the action of watching graffiti pieces travel into the station on the train. At the bench, writers congregated not only to piece watch but to critique, study, meet other writers, teach, sign each other’s black books, and discuss layups and yards. In a way the writers’ bench was the emergence of an unsanctioned free school dedicated to the tradition of graffiti. As time passed the writers’ bench evolved from being a great location for piece watching to a popular gathering place for writers from all over New York City.

Over a quarter century ago graffiti writers from the Bronx began meeting here to watch trains carrying graffiti pieces. This was an ideal location because it was where the 2 and 5 IRT lines converged showcasing work of the graffiti writers from the Bronx and Brooklyn. The bench began attracting more and more graffiti writers to the point that it was a place of pilgrimage for writers. Other stations benches became popular but none to the effect of this bench at the 149th St. Grand Concourse Station.

The first writers’ bench was formed around 1972 and located on W. 188th St. in Manhattan. Many writers’ benches flourished since that time and up through the 80’s before slowly being dissolved. Some of the most notable were the benches at the Atlantic Ave. and Brooklyn Bridge stations. Although the writers’ bench community has now shifted to other locations, such as online, these benches are remembered as icons that attest to the explosion of the graffiti writers movement and d.i.y. culture. "

Check out photos of the project here or slideshow. You can also check out more projects from Erik Burke on his blog.

Mixtape Madness | Beat Tape Bailout II?

Okay, so the homies over at ITE (aka In This Economy?) have inspired us a little bit here at ThugBoss. They ran a post on Monday called The Beat Tape Bailout, which basically shed some light on some great music that was out there on the web to be had for free. Free? Yes free. Well man, since then, they either missed a few, or maybe a few more joints have been dropped. How amazing is it that we live in a time where all it takes is a decent internet connection to get all the free (legal) music we could ever wish for? One thing is for sure, if we are in a recession, these artists surely feel our pain. So whether you can't afford to buy any new CDs, or just wanna hear some new and very fresh music, I suggest you continue reading.

I guess you can call this the Beat Tape Bailout part II.

Eminem | We Made You | World Premiere

As much as you may love or hate Eminem, life has been been very dull since he left the scene. It's a damn shame that with everything that has gone down in this country, we have not had an Eminem, or Dave Chapelle to make us laugh about it all. Well, Mr. Slim Shady is finally back... Dave where are you? Big shouts to Tony Romo... you know you have made it when Eminem puts you in a video (hahaha). So without further adoo (sp?)... Eminem | We Made You...

disclaimer - (this is not the Slim Shady that us "true heads" learned to love, but more of an Eminem in between "Slim Shady LP and Eminem Show". Hopefully the album is a little better, and no where near the monstrosity that Encore was.)

I strongly suggest that you watch the video at least twice to catch everyone that Em is going at. Why don't we start a list in the comments? Nice to have you back Mr. Shady.
